Speaker Cleaner for iPhone: How iOS Water Eject Tones Work

Apple iPhones are built with high IP68 water resistance standards. However, because iPhone speaker grilles use very fine protective meshes, surface tension easily traps water drops over the bottom speakers and top call earpiece.

How Sound Wave Ejection Clears iPhone Speaker Meshes

When an electrical sine wave at 165Hz is fed to the iPhone speaker driver, the electromagnet pushes the flexible cone rapidly back and forth. This displacement creates air pressure pulses that break water surface tension and push droplets outward.

  • Position iPhone vertically with bottom speaker facing downward.
  • Set iOS volume to 100% (maximum).
  • Open Safari and tap Start on Fix My Speaker Auto Eject mode.
  • Run 2 to 3 cycles until sound clarity returns to normal.

ARTICLE TROUBLESHOOTING & FAQS

Is playing 165Hz sound wave tones safe for iPhone speakers?

Yes. iOS audio drivers automatically regulate maximum amplifier voltage to protect voice coils from damage.
